The Lakeside Hotel in Hangzhou is a modern, premium boutique hotel with 86 rooms, located on the shores of the picturesque West Lake. The architecture of the project is based on the philosophy of peace and harmony with nature. The building is literally built into the landscape: mirrored facades reflect the water and sky, wooden terraces hang over the lake, and panoramic windows open up views from each room. The style is minimalist with an echo of traditional Chinese aesthetics. The interior space features wood, stone, warm textures, a spa area, a tea room, a rooftop restaurant, and a library. This hotel is not just a place to relax, but an emotional experience: slowing down, reflecting, immersing yourself in nature.

The hotel design takes into account every detail — from the location of the building relative to the sun to the scenarios of daylighting and the guest’s movement in space. We have thought through not only aesthetics, but also functionality: effective zoning, ecological technologies, energy-saving systems, local materials that reduce the carbon footprint. Visually, it is a light, almost weightless architecture that does not dominate, but complements nature. The hotel is created as a point of strength, a place of renewal and inspiration, where each architectural line serves the main purpose — to give a person a deep sense of presence here and now.

The designed facility is part of the tourist center. We designed a structure that fits harmoniously into the existing landscape. The concept of the wedge shape is dictated by the building site. The shape of the building unfolds towards the reservoir and has excellent visual characteristics.
